Looking to develop your career in FMCG category management and work for a global business with strong heritage brands found across the world?
Our client is world leader who are operating in a category that is growing and evolving and where there is an abundance of opportunity. Over the last 3 years the business has become more and more Category Management led and the business requires a passionate individual who has the ability to build and manage relationships with major retailers in the UK, Europe and US.
You'll be seen as an expert on category, shopper & consumer data, developing category strategies and excecuting these with chosen retail partners.
The role will offer a real breadth of responsibility that would be hard to find in a regular blue chip FMCG business at this level - this won't be aligned to just one category within one customer/channel, but will instead be working across all, supporting on range reviews, managing shopper marketing projects, ad hoc research projects and the agency relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external stake holders eg customer and supplier contacts
- The ability to segment analysis by customer, brand, category, channel to understand and drive category performance
- Working with continuous (eg Kantar, Nielsen, IRI, Nectar loyalty) or adhoc market and consumer data and to put the "Customer First" to identify opportunities for the business and retailers
- Own and develop Shopper Marketing activities inc. merchandising solutions
The ideal candidate will either be:
An experienced FMCG Category manager looking to grow and develop their career
OR
You'll be an insight professional (working for eg. Kantar, Nielsen, IRI) looking to make a move client side.
