A global FMCG business who have a portfolio of household brands found across the high street and DIY retailers are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Account Manager to join the team.
As a National Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the company's growth and success by managing key accounts with the High Street and Value retailers. You will be responsible for overseeing a range of products, building and maintaining strong relationships, and driving sales to achieve ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities:
P&L Ownership: Take ownership of the Profit and Loss statement for your assigned accounts, ensuring profitability and growth.
Commercial Plan: Develop, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive commercial plan for your accounts to drive revenue and market share growth.
Account Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within the wholesale retail sector, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
Business Development: Identify opportunities for new business and market expansion, and implement strategies to capitalise on them.
Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, analyse market trends, and provide regular reports to the senior management team.
Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate pricing, promotions, and terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements with customers.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure the seamless execution of the commercial plan.
Budget Management: Manage budgets effectively and allocate resources efficiently to maximise return on investment.
The ideal candidate will have proven FMCG or consumer goods experience as a National Account Manager (ideally within the DIY or durables industry but others will be considered). You will have strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in key accounts.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills will be key to the success of this role.
