Category Development Manager - FMCG Drinks

A leading international drinks business are currently searching for an experienced Category Manager to join the UK business.

A driving force; you will be responsible for proactively applying the company vision to both customers and brands, & guiding the Sales & Marketing teams to ensure the company and their customers win through category thought leadership and actionable insights delivering profitable growth.

This role will be managing key retail relationships (inc Grocery, Convenience & Impulse) and is a key role within the wider commercial and marketing function.

It's a role and opportunity for a talented category manager to join the business and really make an impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leverage existing data contracts to set up periodic market reports for the wider business
• Managing key category relationships for the businesses, leading on range reviews
• Working in partnership with marketing and commercial teams on strategic projects inc brand planning, NPD, EPD
• Delivering key insights to customers to unlock category growth opportunities

Strong customer category experience is important in this role, and you will ideally have experience working across various different types of retailer. ie Grocery, convenience, wholesale, discounters etc.

This will best suit someone with a strong interest in the drinks industry looking to develop their career within an exciting and growing category

Location: West Midlands

Package: Up to 45k + car allowance + bonus + benefits
