A leading international food business with brand and products found across the UK and Europe have an exciting opportunity for a driven and passionate Assistant Brand Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the annual UK strategy for one of their leading brands, with P&L responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop & deliver the annual brand plan in conjunction with SBM & Category team to achieve business & brand targets.
· Use of consumer/customer research to develop genuine insight & recommendations leading to opportunity identification & development of growth initiatives.
· Lead design & packaging changes for brands
· Create & deliver the development of the innovation funnel and execution of NPD launches to contribute to the delivery of volume, profit, market share and distribution.
· Support on wider Marketing responsibilities e.g., Award Submissions, Consumer Careline, PO tracking & budget reconciliation with Finance and trade marketing projects.
· Analysis of data sources (Nielsen, Kantar, EPOS etc.) to provide insight on brand performance and actions incl monthly and ad hoc reviews.
· Contributes to the internal & external leadership of the brands incl; Customer presentations and keeping the brands front of mind for colleagues.
Key Skills & Requirements
· An ambitious brand champion with proven success in blue-chip, branded FMCG business (food experience essential)
· A passion for food combined with a natural curiosity for consumers & new products.
· A team player that can work cross-functionally (particularly with the sales team, finance & product development)
· Can establish consumer & customer insights.
· Prior experience & success in NPD & design changes with a good understanding of the internal processes
· Knowledge of continuous data and some exposure to a range of market research techniques used in innovation.
· Proactive self-starter who can work at pace, take ownership & make things happen.
· Commercially minded, awareness of a P&L.
· First class communication and presentation skills
· Able to work with ambiguity, be flexibly minded and offer innovative solutions.
