2x interim National Account Manager roles with one of the world's most iconic spirits businesses leading Tesco & Asda respectively on an initial 3 month contract with potential to be longer.

With a premium portfolio spanning whiskey, rum and gin, this is a business known for its category leadership, commercial excellence and standout employee culture.

The Role

You'll take full commercial ownership of a Top 4 grocery account (Tesco or Asda), leading the joint business plan and driving growth across whiskey, tequila and other premium categories within a major national retailer.

This is a genuinely autonomous role with full P&L accountability. You'll manage all levers - commercial terms, promotional planning, brand activation, forecasting and supply chain coordination - to deliver both short-term results and long-term strategic growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the joint business planning process with a senior grocery buyer, ensuring alignment on volume, value and profit targets
  • Managing the full P&L, including trade investment, pricing strategy and promotional ROI
  • Developing and executing brand activation plans in collaboration with customer marketing and the retailer's media partners
  • Building best-in-class relationships with key stakeholders, both externally with the retail partner and internally across commercial, marketing and supply teams
  • Identifying new commercial opportunities and ways of working that strengthen both the partnership and business performance

The Ideal Candidate

You'll have strong national account management experience within branded FMCG, with a proven track record of delivering growth in competitive grocery environments - ideally with exposure to either Tesco or Asda.

Experience managing a full P&L and leading joint business plans with a major grocery retailer is essential. You'll be commercially astute, analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to forecast accurately and manage multiple variables simultaneously.

Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills are key - you'll be working across functions and building senior-level relationships both internally and externally. You'll also bring entrepreneurial thinking, spotting opportunities beyond the trading plan and driving innovation in how the business works with this account.

Proficiency in forecasting tools and systems is required, along with strong capability in digital workspace platforms.
