Innovation Project Manager - FMCG Food
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Innovation Project Manager to join a well-established and respected food business that has been at the forefront of chilled and frozen food in Europe and are now looking to grow and expand in the UK.
This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment and wants to play a key part in shaping the future product pipeline with fantastic brands and products.
The Role
As Innovation Project Manager, you'll be responsible for driving new product development from concept through to launch. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you'll work closely with technical, commercial, and operations teams to deliver innovation that meets both consumer demand and business objectives.
Key responsibilities for the Innovation Project Manager include:
- Leading end-to-end innovation projects across the chilled and frozen product portfolio
- Managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations throughout the development process
- Coordinating with technical, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution
- Conducting market and consumer insights analysis to identify opportunities for new product development
- Ensuring all projects meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Presenting project updates and recommendations to senior leadership
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Innovation Project Manager will have a proven track record in NPD within the food industry, ideally with experience in chilled or frozen categories. You'll be highly organised, commercially aware, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A background in FMCG, strong project management skills, and the ability to influence across functions are essential. Experience working within halal, ethnic foods, or branded consumer goods would be advantageous.
This role would suit someone ready to take ownership of innovation delivery within a well-established and growing business.
