This is a pivotal appointment as the business continues its growth trajectory across major retailers. The Head of Sales - Grocery will play a critical role in shaping commercial strategy and driving performance across a portfolio of national grocery accounts.
The Role
As Head of Sales - Grocery, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the commercial strategy across key grocery accounts, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
- Building and maintaining senior-level relationships with category buyers and commercial directors across major retailers
- Driving revenue growth and market share gains through strategic account planning and execution
- Managing P&L performance, including trade investment, promotional strategy and margin management
- Collaborating with marketing, supply chain and operations to deliver seamless execution
- Leading negotiations on ranging, pricing and promotional activity
- Providing accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Head of Sales - Grocery will bring proven experience in FMCG sales leadership, ideally within chilled or frozen categories. A strong track record of managing major grocery accounts and delivering commercial results is essential. You'll be a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence at all levels. Experience working with ethnic or specialty food brands would be advantageous, though a solid understanding of the UK grocery landscape is key.
