                An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Category Manager to join a leading global confectionery business with a strong UK presence. This role will see you partnering with one of the UK's largest grocery retailers to drive category growth and deliver joint business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key partner to a major UK grocery retailer and its subsidiaries, using category insight to support joint business growth
 - Deliver objective, data-led recommendations to drive distribution, share of shelf, and range optimisation
 - Support range reviews, influence NPD plans, and shape in-store execution through clear merchandising principles
 - Analyse category performance, monitor market trends, and identify growth opportunities
 - Generate meaningful shopper and category intelligence to inform decision-making across the business
 - Develop and execute compelling sell-in stories for innovation and range extensions
 
The Ideal Candidate:
We're seeking an experienced Category Manager with a strong background in FMCG, ideally with experience working on retailer-facing projects. You should have:
- Proven experience in Category Management within the FMCG sector
 - Strong understanding of category dynamics, market trends, and consumer behaviour
 - Proficiency in using market research tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, or Circana
 - Experience in areas such as in-store activation, shelf presence, or range reviews
 - Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite
 - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence decisions through insight and storytelling
