Category Controller, Own-Label - Global FMCG Food Business

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Category Controller to join a major branded food manufacturer with a strong presence in UK. This company is known for its portfolio spanning fresh, chilled, and frozen categories, including ready-to-cook meals, breaded products, and convenient protein-led snacks.

The Role

As Category Controller, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth strategy and enhancing its market position. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies to drive growth and profitability
• Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to inform product development and marketing strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and supply chain to ensure alignment of category plans
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners
• Lead category reviews and present insights and recommendations to senior management
• Monitor category performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet business objectives

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in category management within the FMCG sector, preferably with own-label experience in food manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A track record of successful collaboration with retail partners
• Commercial acumen and a results-driven approach
• Experience with data analysis tools and category management software

Location:

West of London (5 days/week in the office or out with customers)

Package:

£70,000 - £80,000 + £9,000 car allowance, bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including performance-related bonuses, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
