Innocent drinks is a leading European FMCG business specialising in natural smoothies, super-smoothies, juices (including kids’ and cold-press), juice shots, coconut water, and plant-based “Innocent Plus” drinks.
Certified as a B-Corp and majority-owned by Coca-Cola, Innocent operates across Europe with strong sustainability credentials—ethical sourcing, recyclable packaging, plus allocating 10% of profits to good causes.
The Brief
Having previously worked with a senior member of the business, Allexo were approached to support Innocent with a Senior Category Manager role.
As a business with a highly-desirable employer brand, they’d had a strong response with their direct advertising, however the requirements were very particular profile given the strategic importance of the account this would be managing – Tesco.
Beyond solid customer category management experience at a senior level, an in-depth knowledge and previous experience working on strategic projects with Tesco was essential for this role, ideally within the food & drinks space.
The Process & Results
Reaching out to our network, a shortlist of profiles was introduced quickly with one particular candidate standing out having spent their formative years of their career at Tesco.
Following a number of 1st stage interviews, the successful candidate was progressed to final stage and was offered the role – joining from Concha y Toro, previously as Senior Category & Insights Manager.
