Having worked with the business in a different area in the past, Allexo were approached by Ferrero to develop their category team, due to internal promotions and structural growth.
Following meetings with key members of the senior category team, we developed a clear understanding of the skills and experience needed to strengthen their category team, and agreed criteria and qualifying questions to ensure a well qualified recommended profiles on the shortlist were well qualified.
With an exceptional senior leadership team already in place, they were looking for high potential candidates with the ability to learn and develop within their roles, broadening the talent pool of candidates to recruit from beyond candidates already in FMCG customer category management in another business – this included from Grocery Retail and Insight Agency backgrounds, where they had a track record of recruiting successfully from in the past.
As a new relationship, it was critical we were able to work efficiently and deliver a strong shortlist of candidates to be considered – with 6 candidates being presented.
Working through a structured interview process with benchmarketing at each stage, offers were extended and accepted for both the Category Executive and Category Manager roles with strong feedback for both candidates since settling into their new roles.
