Suntory Global Spirits (formerly Beam Suntory) is the world’s third-largest spirits company, offering a diverse portfolio across key categories. Its premium brands include bourbon (Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Knob Creek), Japanese, Scotch, Irish, and Canadian whiskies (Yamazaki, Hibiki, Laphroig, Canadian Club), tequila (El Tesoro, Sauza), vodka (Pinnacle, Haku), gin (Roku), and liqueurs and RTDs (Midori, Sourz, On The Rocks) .
The Brief
Having had a long-standing relationship with a senior member of the global marketing team, Allexo were asked to help Suntory Global Spirits find an International Brand Manager to join their team based in the UK.
With the role sitting in a global matrix structure, the challenge was finding someone who could work both independently and as part of a team, with a breadth of experience across comms and innovation, and coming from a tier 1 FMCG business.
The Process & Result
Working throuhg a full market search, the response from the search was strong due to the popularity of the premium spirits category and the brands this role was managing.
Following a structured interview process, the preferred candidate was offered and accepted the role, who has since re-located internationally within the business to become Senior Brand Manager for the Canadian Club brand based in Sydney, Australia.
