An opportunity to implement and own category management for the online channel for a Global FMCG Food & Drinks business based in Berkshire.
In line with growing ROI from the online channel, the business has created a new role for an entrepreneurial category manager to come in and develop this channel for them.
The business is lean and the lack of process and red tape in place allows for them to be agile, particularly for a Global business of its size, positioning them well to capitalise on the changing dynamics of the online retail space.
The client is looking for profiles that can demonstrate the following:
- Solid category management experience within FMCG, ideally within Food and/or Drink
- Previous experience applying category management principles to the online channel, including Grocery and ideally Amazon
- Proven ability to generate actionable insights from continuous insights (Nielsen/IRI/Kantar/dh)
- Customer facing experience – ability to create and present compelling category arguments in a commercial retail environment
This would be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to become an expert in this space. The channel is growing and in line with this the team is also expected to, with the view to this person managing a team within the next 12 – 18 months.
