Join a leading FMCG soft drinks business known for its innovative products and dynamic brand presence. We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Commercial Lead to take charge of the foodservice channel, ensuring the visibility and availability of products across multiple touchpoints in everyday life. From early morning commuters to families enjoying weekend outings, your role will ensure the brand is front and center at key moments throughout their day.
6 Month FTC with immediate start
Role Overview:
As the Commercial Lead for Foodservice, you will spearhead efforts to boost the visibility and availability of products within foodservice channels. Working with major clients like Bidfood and Brakes, as well as contract caterers, you'll play a pivotal role in setting the business up for growth in 2025 and beyond. While this role does not have direct reports, you will be responsible for leading the channel strategy, collaborating with internal teams, and mentoring two Foodservice Commercial Executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Foodservice Strategy: Own and drive the foodservice channel, focusing on increasing product visibility across 'everyday change maker' outlets - from workplaces to gyms, visitor attractions, and more.
Client Management: Manage relationships with key partners, including Bidfood, Brakes, and contract caterers, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with business goals.
Growth Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to set up the foodservice channel for growth in 2025, ensuring that long-term goals are met.
2025 Budget Planning & Execution: Lead the 2025 budgeting process for the foodservice channel and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key partners to meet budgetary targets.
Collaboration & Leadership: While you won't directly manage a team, you will coordinate cross-functional efforts, driving commercial success and acting as the go-to expert for foodservice within the organization.
Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to two Foodservice Commercial Executives, helping them grow in their roles and contribute to channel success.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in commercial roles, preferably within the FMCG sector, with a focus on foodservice channels.
Strong understanding of the foodservice landscape and key clients (e.g., Bidfood, Brakes).
Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience in budget management and delivering JBPs.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication, relationship management, and mentoring skills.
