Rowse Honey is the UK’s number one spread competing with the likes of Nutella, Lurpak and Philadelphia, and a world leader in honey products and a major provider of pure maple syrups, lemon curd, and luxury dessert chocolate sauces supplying all food channels including foodservice, wholesalers, retailers, pharmacy and manufacturers.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Brand Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing short-term UK strategy for the Rowse brand, with P&L responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & deliver the annual brand plan in conjunction with SBM & Category team to achieve business & brand targets.

  • Use of consumer/customer research to develop genuine insight & recommendations leading to opportunity identification & development of brand growth initiatives.

  • Lead design & packaging changes for Rowse

  • Create & deliver the development of the innovation funnel and execution of major NPD launches - to contribute to the delivery of volume, profit, market share and distribution.

  • Management of Rowse digital ecosystem to ensure maximum effectiveness - Owned & Paid Media

  • Lead shopper marketing requirements in partnership with Sales & Category.

  • Manage relationships & content for ESG partnerships.

  • Analysis of data sources (Nielsen, Kantar, EPOS etc.) to provide insight on brand performance and actions including monthly and ad hoc reviews.

  • Contributes to the internal & external leadership of the brands incl; Customer presentations and keeping the brand front of mind for colleagues

Key Skills & Requirements

  • An ambitious brand champion with proven success in blue-chip, branded FMCG business (food experience essential)

  • A passion for food combined with a natural curiosity for consumers & new products.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross-functionally (particularly with the sales function)

  • Proven strategic capability and can establish consumer & customer insights and make strategic recommendations.

  • Prior experience & success in NPD & design changes with a good understanding of the internal processes

  • Prior experience & success in digital comms management

  • Knowledge of continuous data and exposure to a range of market research techniques used in brand building & innovation.

  • Proactive self-starter who can work at pace, take ownership & make things happen.

  • Commercially minded, knows the numbers and everything that impacts them.

  • First class communication and presentation skills

  • Able to work with ambiguity, be flexibly minded and offer innovative solutions.
