Ferrero - Category Team Build
Having worked briefly with the business in a different area in the past, we re-approached Ferrero with the knowledge they were looking to develop their category team, due to internal promotions and structural growth.
Following discussions with key members of the senior category team, we quickly developed a good understanding of their culture, as well the types of profiles they were looking for to join the team.
With an exceptional senior leadership team already in place, they were looking for high potential candidates with the ability to learn and develop within their roles, broadening the talent pool of candidates to recruit from beyond candidates already in FMCG customer category management in another business – this included from Grocery Retail and Insight Agency backgrounds, where they had a track record of recruiting successfully from in the past.
As a new relationship, it was critical we were able to work quickly and deliver a strong shortlist of candidates to be considered – with 6 candidates being presented within 4 days. Following a number of interviews, we took on board the feedback from the team and continued to resource and introduce candidates we felt would be a strong fit for the team and business – both technically and culturally.
With the roles having been open for some time ahead of us joining the search, we successfully filled both the Category Executive and Category Manager roles with excellent feedback for both candidates since settling into their new roles.
